Crude oil slides Friday

NEW YORK, Nov. 18 (UPI) -- Crude oil prices slipped under $98 per barrel in New York Friday, retreating from a strong four-day rally.

On the New York, Mercantile Exchange, crude oil gave up $1.04 to $97.94 per barrel after peaking above $101 early in the week.

Home heating oil added 2.49 cents to $3.0574 per gallon. Reformulated blendstock gasoline gained 1.2 cents to reach $2.50 per gallon.

Henry Hub natural gas prices lost 1.6 cents to reach $3.326 per million British thermal units.

At the pump, the national average price of unleaded gasoline fell to $3.384 per gallon Friday from Thursday's $3.393, AAA said.
