CHICAGO, Aug. 12 (UPI) -- Grain futures were mixed Friday as the dollar index was flat, falling 0.03 percent at the end of a wild week in equity markets.
Corn was off 3/4 to up 1, soybeans were up 3 to up 3 1/4, wheat was off 7 1/4 to up 1 1/4 and oats were 1/2 to up 1.
Corn closed mixed after making strong gains Thursday on the heels of a monthly USDA crop report that saw production estimates lower for corn, wheat and soybeans. Wheat futures also corrected Friday with early selling pressure yielding to a drop in European markets. Soybeans found support from China National Grains and Oils report that forecast production down 10.5 percent in the current season from a year earlier.

Corn: Sep 7.01 3/4 off 3/4, Dec 7.14 1/2 up 1/2, Mar 7.27 1/2 up 3/4, May 7.32 up 1.
Soybeans: Aug 13.37 up 3 1/4, Sep 13.27 3/4 up 3, Nov 13.34 3/4 up 3, Jan 13.45 3/4 up 3.
Wheat: Sep 7.02 1/2 up 1 1/4, Dec 7.32 1/4 off 3/4, Mar 7.65 1/2 off 4 1/4, May 7.81 off 7 1/4.
Oats: Sep 3.45 up 1, Dec 3.55 up 1/2, Mar 3.65 1/2 up 1/2, May 3.72 1/2 up 1/2.
