FORSTA coffee/tea makers recalled

WASHINGTON, March 5 (UPI) -- The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has announced a voluntary recall of FORSTA coffee and tea makers due to risk of injury.

The coffee and tea makers, imported from China and sold by IKEA stores nationwide from January 2010 through December 2010, are made of glass that can break unexpectedly under pressure, the commission said in a statement.

They were sold for between $6 and $10.

The recall includes 0.4 liter and 1 liter coffee and tea makers, which are made of glass and include a screen that is pressed to separate the liquid from the coffee grounds or the tea leaves.

The recalled items have supplier number 20325. The word "IKEA" is etched on the bottom of the glass.

Consumers were advised to stop using the coffee and tea makers and return them to the retailer for a full refund.
