MILWAUKEE, Jan. 22 (UPI) -- U.S. motorcycle company Harley-Davidson said it had released a new "rebellious" Softail motorcycle it is calling the Blackline.

In a press release oozing with smoky romance, Harley-Davidson said the new machine was "lean as wire, hard as iron and dark as a tar road at midnight."

"A rebellious creation of the Dark Custom movement, the Blackline celebrates three fundamental elements of motorcycling: Mechanical beauty, internal combustion and the long black line of the road ahead," Harley-Davidson said.

The Blackline is a compact headlight and speedometer, "tucked in the wide, FX front end and there's just enough shine to make the black parts look blacker," the iconic firm headquartered in Milwaukee said.

It also includes a six-speed transmission, wheels of "Laced Aluminum with black anodized rims," anti-lock braking and "the lowest two-up seat offered by Harley-Davidson," the firm said.
