Pottery Barn lamps recalled

WASHINGTON, Nov. 12 (UPI) -- The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said Friday Pottery Barn was recalling 7,300 lamps with a possible wiring defect.

Pottery Barn of San Francisco was recalling Clay Task Lamp model number 2467553, Montgomery Task Lamp model number 9691783 and Montgomery Floor Lamb model number 9691775 due to wiring that may be pinched inside the flexible joints of the lamp stand.

A pinched wire could cause a short or subject persons to electric shock.

The lamps were imported from India and sold nationwide from July 2009 through August 2010 for between $60 and $300.

Consumers were advised to stop using the lamps and contact Pottery Barn for instructions on how to return them for a full refund.
