Circus World baby monitors recalled

WASHINGTON, Aug. 13 (UPI) -- The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced a voluntary recall of Circus World wireless baby monitors due to overheating.

About 800 Levana Wireless Video Baby Monitors were imported from China by Circus World Displays Ltd., of Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada, and sold nationwide from February 2010 to May 2010 for about $200.

The recall involves monitors with model No. LV-TW300. They include a green and white receiver and a camera, which is all white and stands about 5 inches tall on a long, white base.

Consumers were advised to stop using the baby monitors and return them to Circus World Displays for a refund or a replacement model.
