WASHINGTON, July 27 (UPI) -- The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced a voluntary recall of Brine VIP lacrosse gloves due to a violation of lead paint standards.
About 7,000 youth and adult VIP lacrosse gloves were imported from Vietnam and sold nationwide by Brine, a division of Warrior Sports Inc. of Warren, Mich.

The gloves were on the market from July 2009 through June 2010, selling for about $50 a pair at sporting goods stores nationwide.
Consumers were advised to stop using the gloves and contact Brine for a replacement or a refund.
