Redline Conquest bicycles recalled

WASHINGTON, July 13 (UPI) -- The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced a voluntary recall of Seattle Bike Supply bicycles and frame sets due to a fall hazard.

About 330 Redline Conquest Cyclocross bicycles and frame sets were imported from Taiwan by Seattle Bike Supply of Kent, Wash., and sold nationwide from July 2009 through May 2010 for about $1,400 for a bicycle and $400 for the frame set.

The fork legs can separate from the fork crown, resulting in a loss of control, the commission said in a statement.

The recall involves 2010 model Redline Conquest Cyclocross bicycles and frame sets.

Consumers were advised to stop using the bicycles and frame sets and contact a Redline bicycle dealer for a free fork replacement.

Consumers can call 800-283-2453 for information.
