Franshaw hooded jackets recalled

WASHINGTON, Feb. 19 (UPI) -- The Consumer Product Safety Commission announced a voluntary recall of Franshaw jackets due to a strangulation hazard.

About 2,400 Children's Hooded Jackets were imported from China by Franshaw Inc. of New York and sold exclusively at Burlington Coat Factory outlets from September 2006 through September 2009 for about $10.

The drawstring in the jackets increases the risk of strangulation, the commission said.

The recall includes Blue Heart sweatshirts in olive and pink and Just a Girl brand sweatshirts in the color blue.

Consumers were advised to remove the drawstring immediately or return the garment to the Burlington Coat Factory or Franshaw Inc. for a full refund.

Consumers can call 800-477-3274 for information.
