CHICAGO, Sept. 28 (UPI) -- U.S. grain futures closed mixed Monday on the Chicago Board of Trade as equities surged on Wall Street.
Corn was up 4 1/2 to up 4 3/4, soybeans were off 6 1/2 to off 10 3/4, wheat was up 4 to up 6 and oats were up 6.

CHICAGO, Sept. 28 (UPI) -- U.S. grain futures closed mixed Monday on the Chicago Board of Trade as equities surged on Wall Street. Corn was up 4 1/2 to up 4 3/4, soybeans were off 6 1/2 to off 10 3/4, wheat was up 4 to up 6 and oats were up 6.
Corn futures closed higher with the harvest under way, but still lagging behind the crop's historic average. Wheat futures rose with dry weather persistent in Argentina's wheat belt. Soybeans, also lagging in the USDA weekly crop report, lost ground despite a sale of 225,000 metric tons sold to China this morning.

Corn: Dec 3.38 3/4, up 4 3/4; Mar 3.51 1/4, up 4 1/2; May 3.60 1/4, up 4 3/4; Jul 3.68 1/4, up 4 1/2.
Soybeans: Nov 9.19 1/2, off 6 1/2; Jan 9.24 1/2, off 6 1/2; Mar 9.24, off 8; May 9.20 1/4, off 10 3/4.
Wheat: Dec 4.55 3/4, up 6; Mar 4.75 1/4, up 5 1/2; May 4.90, up 5 1/2; Jul 5.05 1/4, up 4.
Oats: Dec 2.25, up 6; Mar 2.38 1/2, up 6; May 2.47 1/2, up 6; Jul 2.57, up 6.
