WASHINGTON, July 17 (UPI) -- The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced a voluntary recall of Thane International steam cleaners due to shock and burn hazards.

The power cords can wear down, exposing wire that could shock or burn those who come into contact with it, the commission said in a statement.

The model numbers of the recalled products are 808.092 and OEM-TV-001. The recall is limited to H2O Mops with reference numbers 200709198 to 200803148 or code numbers H20M1000 to M-H20M1198.

Consumers were advised to stop using the recalled products and contact Thane for a free repair kit.

Consumers can call 800-485-0017 for information.
