WASHINGTON, June 25 (UPI) -- The U.S. space agency has given Wackenhut Services Inc. of Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., an agency-wide 10-year $1.2 billion protective services contract.
NASA said Wackenhut will provide fire services, security services, emergency management, export control, protective services training, protective services information assurance and information technology security.

The contract covers protective services at all NASA installations across the United States.
The major subcontractor for the contract is Chenga Security and Protective Services of Ashburn, Va.
