Crude oil prices rise Monday

NEW YORK, June 8 (UPI) -- Crude oil prices headed toward $69 per barrel Monday on the New York Mercantile Exchange despite a wobbly day in U.S. stock markets.

Crude oil prices rose 71 cents to $68.80 per barrel. Heating oil prices added 0.0166 cents to $1.7845 per gallon. Reformulated blendstock gasoline gained 0.013 cents to $1.949 per gallon. Natural gas prices climbed 0.028 cents to $3.759 per million British thermal units.

At the pump, the average price for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline was $2.619 Monday, up from Sunday's $2.613 a gallon, AAA said.
