WASHINGTON, April 10 (UPI) -- The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced a voluntary recall of Zoo Pacifiers due to choking hazard.
The nipples can separate from the base of the Zoo Pacifiers, which were made in Spain and imported by Healthtex of Miami, the commission said.

About 40,000 of the pacifiers with handles shaped like animal cartoon figures were sold nationwide from December 2002 through March 2009 for about $1.40.
Consumers were advised to take the pacifiers from children immediately and contact Healthtex for a refund or an exchange.
