CHICAGO, March 17 (UPI) -- Grains closed mixed on the Chicago Board of Trade Monday as stocks gained in New York, oil prices rose and the dollar was mixed against the euro and the yen.
Corn was off 1/2 to off 1, soybeans were up 2 to up 9, wheat was up 7 1/4 to up 8 1/4 and oats were up 4 1/2.
Corn closed lower, although Iran entered the market seeking 110,000 metric tons. Wheat rose sharply with winter wheat conditions in Kansas downgraded slightly. China's return to the U.S. soybean market helped steady prices Tuesday, traders said.
