Sara Lee to build $80 million coffee plant

DOWNERS GROVE, Ill., Nov. 7 (UPI) -- Illinois food corporation Sara Lee said it intends to build an $80 million coffee-extraction plant in the Netherlands.

The new plant will increase the company's capacity for coffee-based products -- instant coffee and liquids -- by 50 percent, the Chicago Tribune reported Friday.

The new facility is expected to open in 2010 and serve international markets, the Tribune said. Currently, Sara Lee produces the coffee brands Moccona, Douwe Egberts and Maison du Café.
