WASHINGTON, Sept. 10 (UPI) -- The U.S. space agency has awarded an information technology support contract for its Ames Research Center at Moffett Field, Calif.
The National Aeronautics and Space Administration said the bridge contract was given to Perot Systems Government Services Inc. of Fairfax, Va.

NASA said the Ames Consolidated Information Technology Services 2 contract has a potential value of $77 million.
The contract calls for Perot Systems to support information technology systems and facilities; network/communications, business systems, scientific computing systems; and outreach/informational systems at the research center.
Officials said the contract will have a 13-month base period, followed by three one-month options.
