2 senior Dell Inc. executives said to quit

ROUND ROCK, Texas, Feb. 13 (UPI) -- Two senior executives will leave Dell Inc. in an expanding shake-up in the U.S. computer maker's top management ranks, a published report said Tuesday.

Senior Vice President Paul McKinnon, who oversaw the company's global human resources operations, will leave the company in March, the Austin (Texas) American-Statesman reported Tuesday.

His departure comes on the heels of the announced departure of Senior Vice President John Hamlin, the head of Dell's online operations worldwide. Hamlin said he had turned down an offer to run Dell's consumer business, a new title at the company.

The departures, reported in internal e-mails, follow founder Michael Dell's return as chief executive officer, replacing Kevin Rollins.

Dell, which is also looking for a new chief marketing officer, has been hit by disappointing earnings, eroding market share, an ongoing federal accounting investigation and several shareholder class-action lawsuits.

A Dell spokesman would not comment on the reported executive departures, the newspaper said.
