DRS making heavy duty trailers for Army

PARSIPPANY, N.J., Dec. 11 (UPI) -- The U.S. Army is paying DRS Technologies Inc. $22 million for more than 300 heavy duty trailers.

The M989A1 Heavy Expanded Mobility Ammunition Trailers are being used by Multiple Launch Rocket System battalions deployed for Operation Iraqi Freedom, DRS said Monday in a news release.

The work for this contract is being performed by the company's DRS Sustainment Systems unit in West Plains, Mo.
