Air Force expands CSC training contract

EL SEGUNDO, Calif., Nov. 21 (UPI) -- The U.S. Air Force is expanding a contract with Computer Sciences Corp. for a fixed rotary wing simulator-based flight training system.

CSC estimates the value of this contract modification, which has a 1-year base period and 12 1-year options, to be $46 million if all options are exercised.

Under the contract expansion, CSC will provide rotary wing training support for TH-1H helicopter aircrews using high technology training methodologies and virtual flight simulators to enhance training effectiveness and significantly reduce costs. CSC will provide, operate, and maintain TH-1 virtual flight simulators.
