WIESBADEN, Germany, Nov. 6 (UPI) -- Germany's Linde Group AG has sold its fork-lift truck unit to a U.S. private equity group for $5.1 billion.
Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. and Goldman Sachs Group Inc.'s private-equity unit is buying the Kion subsidiary in a deal that will let Linde cut its debt, the BBC reported Monday.

Linde bought the fork-lift truck operation when it acquired Britain's BOC Group PLC, an industrial gases operation, in a deal that cost it more than $15 billion.
