Finally! Some good news for Airbus!

TOULOUSE, France, Oct. 26 (UPI) -- France's struggling Airbus SA airplane maker has booked two sets of jet orders in the United States and China.

Ohio's Skybus Airlines said Thursday it signed a firm contract to purchase 65 Airbus A319 jet aircraft. Skybus will launch non-stop service to major U.S. markets from the Columbis airport next year.

Meanwhile, China has ordered 150 A320s, some of which will be built in the northeastern city of Tianjin, the BBC said Thursday.

"It is a means for us to develop a long-term vision with the Chinese," said Airbus chief executive Louis Gallois. "It is clear that building the planes in China will give the Chinese an incentive to buy more of our aircraft."
