U.S. crude oil supplies keep rising

WASHINGTON, Oct. 4 (UPI) -- U.S. crude oil inventories rose last week by 3.3 million barrels, the Energy Department reported Wednesday.

At 328.1 million barrels, U.S. crude oil inventories remain well above the upper end of their average range for this time of year.

Gasoline inventories increased by 1.2 million barrels last week and are above the upper end of their average range.

Overall supplies of distillate fuels rose a modest 200,000 barrels and are well above the upper end of the average range for this time of year. Inventories of heating oil, however, fell by 400,000 barrels as homeowners prepare for winter.
