Armor Holdings gets more U.S. Army work

JACKSONVILLE, Fla., Sept. 29 (UPI) -- The U.S. Army has awarded Armor Holdings Inc., of Jacksonville, Fla., contracts worth $46.7 million.

AHI said Friday it received a $22 million order exercising options under an existing contract for new truck production with work to be performed during 2007 by the Aerospace & Defense Group at its facilities in Sealy, Texas.

It also received a $24.7 million order under a new multi-year contract for the refurbishment of medium tactical vehicles in partnership with the Red River Army Depot in Texarkana, Texas.
