Diamond Group gets NASA contract extension

DALLAS, Sept. 27 (UPI) -- The U.S. space agency has extended for two years its contract for security support at the Houston Space Center with the Diamond Group of Dallas.

The extension has a potential value of $26 million, company officials said Wednesday.

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration contract calls for protective services, industrial and physical security, emergency response, risk assessment, vulnerability analysis, badging operations and other security enhancements to Johnson, the Sonny Carter Training Facility, Ellington Field facilities in Houston and the White Sands Test Facility in New Mexico.

The contract extension increases the total value of the contract to $282 million.
