ATLANTA, Aug. 30 (UPI) -- Atlanta's Coca-Cola Co. said Wednesday that J. Alexander M. Douglas Jr. has been named as president of Coca-Cola North America.
Douglas, who had been senior vice president and chief customer officer for the company, replaces Donald R. Knauss, who will become chairman and chief executive officer of "a major company outside the Coca-Cola system."

Knauss, 55, joined the company in 1994 and since February 2004 has run Coke's largest market.
