Third casino approved for Detroit

DETROIT, Aug. 9 (UPI) -- The Michigan Gaming Control Board has approved a $200 million complex in Detroit as the permanent home of the proposed Greektown Casino.

The unanimous approval puts the venture on course to open in September 2008, the Detroit News said Wednesday.

Detoit expects to get two other big casinos earlier that year: The MGM Grand Detroit Casino and the MotorCity Casino.
