NEW YORK, June 26 (UPI) -- Prices for high-quality crude oil jumped Monday on the New York Mercantile Exchange, with a barrel of oil reaching nearly $72.
July delivery crude gained 93 cents to $71.80 per barrel, but natural gas was off 4 percent to $5.98 per million Btu, a 3-week low.

Heating oil was steady at $1.98 per gallon and gasoline was up slightly to $2.18 per gallon.
AAA said early Friday that the average U.S. price of regular hovered at $2.849 per gallon.
