SAN JOSE, Calif., May 9 (UPI) -- EMC Corp. is paying $153 million to buy California's Kashya, which offers enterprise-class data replication and data protection software.
Kashya disaster recovery and "snap" replication technology will augment EMC Invista, EMC's flagship network-based block storage virtualization solution, EMC said Tuesday.

Kashya, which also has operations in Israel, will be integrated into the EMC Software Group.
