British banks draw more complaints

LONDON, May 3 (UPI) -- British banks are drawing 50 percent more complaints than they did last year, the Telegraph reported Wednesday.

Last year the Banking Code of Standards Board received 3,500 complaints from customers, up half on the 2004 figures.

The board said more people complained about unfair penalty charges and interest rates than anything else.
