New Honda hybrid engine plant in Japan

TOKYO, March 14 (UPI) -- Japan's Honda Motor Co. plans to build a factory to make gas-electric hybrid systems and engines for luxury sports cars.

The company aims to site the facility in Yorii, Saitama Prefecture, Asahai Shimbun said Tuesday.

Production from the factory is expected to start as early as 2008.
