NEW YORK, Feb. 21 (UPI) -- U.S. leading economic indicators rose a robust 1.1 percent in January, a research group said Tuesday.
The Conference Board's index of such indicators increased 1.1 percent last month, the fifth monthly increase in the last six months.

Economists had expected it to be up by about 0.5 percent.
