Supermarket recalls pistachios

BRUSSELS, Jan. 24 (UPI) -- A Belgium supermarket chain Tuesday warned customers not to eat Estudiantes pistachio nuts because they may contain too much aflatoxin B1.

The nuts were sold by the Colruyt chain in 200-gram packages, Expatica reported.

On its Web site, Colruyt advised customers to return the nuts to place of purchase for a full refund even though it said the aflatoxin is only dangerous to health in large quantities.

The affected nuts carry the code 25289183 and lot No. 6/05043/3, with an expiration date of June 2006.
