ZURICH, Switzerland, Nov. 25 (UPI) -- The Swiss government plans to sell Swisscom, the state-owned telecommunications company.
A privatization of the government's 66.1 percent stake could bring the nation nearly $13 billion, the Financial Times reported Friday.

Swisscom has confirmed it has already begun talking with Eircom of Ireland on a possible sale of the 66.1 percent interest.
