MIDLAND, Mich., Nov. 17 (UPI) -- Dow Corning Corp. is building a silicon-based product factory in Pune, India, that is set to be operational next year.
The facility will make polymers, lubricants, sealants and emulsions.

"The facility is located in a premier industrial area that is host to a diverse array of leading Indian and multinational companies from the electronics, food manufacturing and automotive industries," the company said in a statement.
"The new plant will help Dow Corning address soaring global demand for silicon-based materials in a wide variety of industries and emerging markets."
