Most executives don't want the top job

NEW YORK, Nov. 15 (UPI) -- New York-based public relations firm Burson-Marsteller says 54 percent of top global business leaders have no desire for a chief executive's job.

The highest levels of chief executive disillusionment are found in North America, at 64 percent, and Europe, 60 percent, Burson-Marsteller said Tuesday.

High-ranking executives in the Asia-Pacific region were nearly equally split over coveting the top job, while Latin American business leaders were the least negative, with only 27 percent unwilling to move into a corner office if given the opportunity.
