NEW YORK, Oct. 7 (UPI) -- Snacking is a way of life for most U.S. adults, but snacking causes many to fall off the "wellness wagon," according to a survey.
The survey, conducted by Harris Interactive and Zone Perfect, found 90 percent of Americans are snacking on the go, while 60 percent snack on the go daily.

"Forty-two percent of us are snacking in the car and if you have kids in the family that jumps to 51 percent," says Carolyn O'Neil, a registered dietitian and co-author of "The Dish on Eating Healthy and Being Fabulous."
"As a dietitian I recommend you continue your habits but let's make healthier choices. Let's use snacking as a nutrition opportunity."
