NEW YORK, Oct. 1 (UPI) -- The Kids Create -- Parents Relate contest encourages U.S. children to draw or color how they feel when they experience stomachaches.
The contest helps children and parents communicate about where and what hurts when a child is complaining about stomachaches, according to a statement by Woman's Day magazine.

Prevacid and Woman's Day magazine have developed the national drawing contest as a way of helping parents and children bridge the communication gap of problems with stomachaches -- some involving gastroesophageal reflux disease, or GERD, commonly referred to as acid reflux -- described as the frequent and abnormal backflow of the stomach acid and food into the esophagus.
