CHICAGO, Sept. 20 (UPI) -- Chicago's storied Marshall Field's department store is being renamed by its new owner and will bear the Macy's brand.
Federated Department Stores Inc. said it would take about a year to drop the Marshall Field's name and substitute Macy's, American City Business Journals reported Tuesday.

Federated bought the 62 Marshall Field's stores last month as part of a $17 billion deal with St. Louis-based May Department Stores Co.
Federated said it will not convert May's Lord & Taylor division, while converting 10 of May's regional nameplates, including Kaufmann's, Filene's and Famous-Barr, to Macy's.
