NEW YORK, April 29 (UPI) -- Oil prices ended the week on a bearish note in New York Friday with another $2 being lopped off the price of crude.
June NYMEX crude settled at $49.72 per barrel, the first time the forward-month contract has ended under $50 since February.

Crude has been reeling all week due to sharp builds in the U.S. crude supply in the build-up to the summer driving season.
Gasoline futures for June delivery fell another nickel per gallon to around $1.496 per gallon, although it will take a few weeks for the lower prices to work their way down to the retail level.
