Johnson&Johnson gives $2M in tsunami aid

NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J., Dec. 30 (UPI) -- Johnson & Johnson of New Brunswick, N.J., said Thursday it is giving $2 million to help earthquake and tsunami victims in Asia.

The household products manufacturer said it is also sending medical and relief supplies for victims of the natural disaster that has killed at least 123,000 people in Asia and Africa.

"In Indonesia and Thailand, a donation of sutures and pharmaceutical products has been made to a local health organizations, and the companies (affiliated with Johnson & Johnson) are coordinating donations of food, water, and blankets," the company said in a statement.
