NYMEX seat sells for $2 M

NEW YORK, Oct. 13 (UPI) -- The New York Mercantile Exchange said Wednesday a full membership seat on the exchange has sold for a record $2 million.

Because of record prices and activity in the exchange's crude oil market, membership prices have been soaring all year to levels previously seen only at much bigger exchanges, like the New York Stock Exchange.
