Judge rejects Halliburton settlement

WASHINGTON, Sept. 10 (UPI) -- A federal judge Friday ruled against a proposed $6 million settlement between Dallas-based Halliburton and shareholders, CBSMarketWatch.com said.

Shareholders sued the energy contractor for inflating its share price through improper accounting practices, which falsely inflated its revenue and earnings.
