Dow gains 116, Nasdaq up 31

NEW YORK, June 4 (UPI) -- Stock prices closed higher Wednesday, lifted by favorable economic reports. The Dow Jones industrial average gained 116.03 points to close at 9.038.98, while the tech-heavy Nasdaq composite index gained 31.09 points to close at 1,634.65.
