Ben & Jerry's cuts workforce by 6 percent

SOUTH BURLINGTON, Vt., Oct. 24 (UPI) -- Ben & Jerry's said it plans to cut its workforce by 6 percent, or by 52 employees, as part of an overall plan to bolster its leadership position and fuel the future growth of this 25-year-old company. The company said through this action it will be better poised to meet U.S. market challenges and continue its strong record of innovation.
