Report: Vivendi to sell videogame unit

PARIS, Aug. 7 (UPI) -- Vivendi Universal is considering selling its U.S.-based videogame software business in a deal valued at as much as $1.9 billion, the Wall Street Journal reported Wednesday in its online edition. The Journal said Vivendi's new chief executive, Jean-Rene Fourtou, has not decided on the sale, but has identified the videogame division as a noncore asset.
