NEW YORK, April 8 (UPI) -- A rally on the New York Mercantile Exchange sparked by Iraq's announcement of a halt to its oil exports cooled somewhat Monday afternoon, but prices were still higher on the day. May crude settles 33 cents higher at $26.54 per barrel after topping $27 earlier in the day.
