Global Crossing forms special committee

MADISON, N.J., Feb. 4 (UPI) -- Global Crossing Ltd., the high-speed communications network operator that filed for bankruptcy last week, said Monday it will form a special committee of independent directors to review allegations of improper accounting. Global Crossing said the committee will retain independent counsel to review the matter.
