WASHINGTON, Jan. 22 (UPI) -- AOL Time Warner subsidiary Netscape Communications filed suit in a U.S. court against Microsoft Corp. Tuesday, alleging violations of anti-trust law in the company's promotion of its Internet Explorer Web browser, and seeking injunctive relief and damages. The court of appeals last year upheld a June 2000 ruling that Microsoft had broken anti-trust laws and had harmed Netscape.
