Trade gap narrows

WASHINGTON, Oct. 19 (UPI) -- The Commerce Department on Friday reported that the U.S. goods and services trade deficit narrowed to a seasonally adjusted $27.1 billion in August from $29.2 billion in July. Economists on Wall Street were expecting the nation's trade gap to narrow to $28.6 billion.
